State of the County Address

5/1 -- The Lorain County Chamber presented the Lorain County Commissioners State of Lorain County Address Tuesday morning. Chamber President Frank DeTillio introduced Commissioner Ted Kalo who spoke about a variety of subjects including the budget and the upcoming tax referendum. Ted then handed off to Commisioner Betty Blair who spoke about the many projects completed in 2006 and she in turn handed things off to Commissioner Lori Kokoski who went over some of the county departmental projects on the books for 2007. There were nearly 200 people in the crowd from all parts of the County. This was the 2nd Annual Address sponsored by the County Chamber.

State of the County Address

3/16 -- The Lorain County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the 2nd Annual State of the County Address will take place on Tuesday, May 1st at 8:00 a.m. The address will take place at the LCCC Spitzer Conference Center and registration will begin promptly at 7:30 a.m. Cost is $20.00 for all those who register BEFORE April 20th. After this date, the cost will be $22.50. Plan on attending to hear Commissioners Betty Blair, Ted Kalo and Lori Kokoski talk about the past, present and future of Lorain County. 2nd Annual Elected Officials Reception

3/8 -- Make plans to attend the 2nd Annual Elected Officials Reception. This will be a social for elected officials including City Council Members from the entire Lorain County, County Commissioners, Mayors of Lorain County Municipalities, State Legislative delegations & Congressional Representatives. Please make sure you take advantage of this great opportunity to network and discuss issues with your elected leaders. The event will take place at Spring Valley Country Club, 1100 Gulf Road, Elyria, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m on Thursday, April 26. Cost is $20.00 per person. Make checks payable to the Lorain County Chamber of Commerce. Deadline for reservations is April 23, so register today!
