A Community Partner
As the principal economic development organization for Lorain County, the County Chamber delivers five program areas to meet the needs of its community partners and foster economic growth.
Over the last year, the County Chamber provided support for over $236 million in investment in Lorain County. That investment helped to create a total of 2,660 new jobs for the residents of Lorain County. Those jobs also injected more than $31 million of increased payroll into the local economy. The County Chamber provided this support in the development of these jobs, at a rate of about $375 per job.
Over the course of its 13-year history, the County Chamber has assisted in the attraction of more than 14,000 new jobs and $1 billion in new investment. More importantly, the businesses that created these jobs are flourishing in the improved economic environment achieved by the strong community partnership embodied in the Lorain County Chamber of Commerce.
