Welcome to the SBDC at The Lorain County Chamber of Commerce
We offer guidance by connecting the client with resources, information and training. Our SBDC Advisors provide one-on-one counseling and assist in answering questions, identifying problems and finding solutions, sharing knowledge and information, discussing ideas and providing business advice. The counseling sessions are personalized, confidential, and at no cost to the client.

The business center offers guidance and assistance to business owners spanning their entire lifecycle. Whether you are an entrepreneur who wants to explore your business idea or an existing business owner looking to take your business to the next level, the center is designed to provide assistance, training and resources.

Business services include:

Business Education, Training, and One-On-One Counseling

Assist entrepreneurs with steps required to create a business.
Client focus with operational advise on how to mange your business.
Assistance in determining if business ideas have merit, getting started and creating a strong business plan.
Training on topics such as Business Plan Development, Marketing, Technology, and Accounting/Bookkeeping.

Funding Options

Provides accurate information on requirements for obtaining various business funding.
Assist entrepreneurs in applying for and acquiring loans, venture capital and other funds.

Business Resource Directory

Designed to answer basic questions for the small businessperson
Guides clients to frequently accessed regulatory agencies and relevant not-for-profit organizations

Regardless of your industry or stage in the life cycle, the SBDC and its professionally trained Advisors provide potential and existing entrepreneurs with access to these core services.
