The Lorain County Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours program is a premier networking function for our members. This event is held from 5:00-7:00PM on the second Tuesday of the month. A different member company hosts the BAH at their own location. The evening is filled with food and fun. Attendants mingle and network with other leading business people in our area. It is a wonderful way to get the word out on your company and make your presence known.
This opportunity is a great way for a new company to get exposure and for an established company to continue to broaden its client base. At the end of the evening there is a drawing held and one lucky winner leaves with a crisp $100.00 bill. Everyone leaves with an array of new business clients to contact in the morning! Therefore, remember at Business After Hours everyone leaves a winner!
For more information about our Business After Hours program, please call the County Chamber at 440-328-2550. E-mail inquiries to may be sent to Tammy Cascio. We can’t wait to see you there!
All Ohio Safety Councils have the same goal- to increase safety awareness. But developing and maintaining a safe workplace is no easy task. That is why it must be a combined effort of local companies and the community.
Therefore, in 1992, the Lorain County Safety Council was formed to provide the community with a program that promotes safety through education to Lorain County businesses. The Lorain County Safety Council not only provides safety education, but it also provides an important networking opportunity between other safety council members and Ohio’s BWC Division of Safety and Hygiene.
The Council meets on the third Wednesday of the month, ten times per year, to discuss safety topics. A Safety Banquet is held each spring, recognizing companies for their safety records. The Safety Council also brings federal, state and local safety experts to discuss important issues such as “OSHA Record keeping” to promote a safer workplace.

We partner with local schools, colleges, and training organizations to help prepare Lorain County’s emerging workforce. Programs like the New Teacher’s Luncheon and the Superintendent Summit connect educators with the business community to strengthen career readiness and future talent pipelines.
The Chamber works closely with township officials, mayors, city managers, and state and federal representatives to ensure the voice of local business is heard. We provide opportunities for members to meet elected officials and stay informed about policies that impact the county’s economic climate.
