4/22/14 -- The Lorain County Safety Council will be offering an OSHA 10-hour General Industry training course on June 11 and 13, 2014. The 2 day class will take place on the 5th Floor of the County Administration Building located at 226 Middle Avenue, Elyria. Cost is $99 per person for Lorain County Safety Council members and $129 for non members. Lunch is included in the cost and will be brought in both days. Flyer is attached with additional information.
4/22/14 -- Monday April 28, 2014 marks "Workers' Memorial Day". We ask that you consider taking a few moments within your workplace to remember those who are no longer with us, those who have died trying to earn a living. Attached is a flyer that we ask you hang in your workplace, or distribute to those workers and employers you care about, as a reminder of the importance of putting safety and health first.
4/22/14 -- The Lorain County Safety Council won an Honorable Mention from the BWC for excellence in programming and performance. We saw an 8% growth in membership, provide our members with monthly Safety Tips, provide additional training opportunities like OSHA 10/30 and continuously promote the BWC and Division of Safety & Hygiene programming. We also have collected toys for the Not Forgotten Box for the last 8+ years. Thanks to our members, our steering committee and the BWC for recognizing our commitment to keeping employees safe in and around Lorain County. 1/29/14 -- The Ohio Safety Congress & Expo features a multitude of topics to address a variety of industry training and education needs. To assist Ohio employers in determining what sessions will help them move forward on their Pathway to Safety, we created flyers with sessions applicable to targeted audiences. The flyers do not reflect all topics pertaining to a certain industry. Beyond what is featured, many other sessions may apply.
